Kannadi High School, a proud landmark of Kannadi Grama Panchayat, was established on 14 July 1982 on the banks of the Kannadipuzha, a tributary of the River Nila.
The school was inaugurated by Deputy Director V. Unnikrishna Warrier at a meeting presided over by the then District Educational Officer, C. Y. Kalyanikutty Amma. Class IX was introduced during the academic year 1983–84, followed by Class X in 1984–85.
In 1997, the institution was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School. Through the continuous efforts and vision of the management, the school later achieved the distinction of becoming the first hi-tech school in Palakkad district.
Located close to the Palakkad–Thrissur National Highway, the school enjoys a picturesque setting with beautiful views of the Kannadipuzha. Today, around 1,500 students pursue their education in the High School and Higher Secondary sections, making Kannadi HSS one of the prominent educational institutions in Kannadi Grama Panchayat.
